  2. Hi Gareth,
Nice to see you getting out there and doing it in spite of the weather. Hit me up if you ever want to fish the Nelson back country, especially the mighty Karamea and tributaries

  3. Hi Gareth, good one mate, nice camp site and a quick skoff and sleep. Looking forward to some more of the same. Cheers mate. Harera

  4. Good work dude. I think you need to ask your wife for a few cooking tips though. 🤣🤣🤣 joking well put together 👍

  5. Gareth I love these videos!! Please incorporate this camping style of video with more fly fishing absolutely awesome. Would like to see more b-roll in your videos. As always thanks and have a good one!

  6. Cool to see you getting into more camping. Really have enjoyed the last series of videos. Also caught the mention about the wifey. Last fall (spring for you), when you were posting less frequently and talked about “a lot going on in your life” was concerned trouble at home was happening. Been there and fought through it so great to here she’s still putting up with you Mate! Keep up the great work love the vids. Look forward to every one! 👍🏼

  8. Mate love it. I’ve just moved home to taupo from Western Australia. There’s a channel or too on YouTube that will give you some great ideas for camping / set-ups ect ect it’s a way of life over there

  9. Hi Gareth, another great video. I love my fly-fishing and camping they go hand in hand. As much as I love camping I couldn’t sit around camp all day but the two together is the best. I am stoked to see that your getting into camping. I can see that you’re getting a buzz out of it. Many good times ahead for you. Cheers, Pete. ( Australia).

Channel is great…looking forward to more 😀👍🏻

  13. A little disappointed, a camping vid more than a fishing vid, but it won’t stop me watering at the mouth for your next episode,🏕

  14. Gd on you bud ,its gd way to learn getting out an doing cant beat camp cooking tinfoil is handy to have can wrap spuds an cook in fire an same as trout etc keep out of direct flame coals are ur cooking spot 😉.

  15. It’s always more fun when you do things you really enjoy. I get that you’ve been fishing these waters for decades and guiding them and all that, it doesn’t get as exciting as before. But when you re-invent yourself and add something new that you enjoy the whole experience gets better once again 🙂

  16. As always, exceptional video!! I absolutely love your videos. If I ever get the chance/opportunity to fish New Zealand (my #1 bucket list destination),I will definitely do it. From the scenery and the gorgeous water,I don’t think I’d ever leave, lol. Thanks feo the amazing videos, can’t wait for the next one!

  17. Nice one Gareth, just like the game eh? I really like that wee oven, might look that up myself. Pity you didn’t do that kind of camping when you were younger, but not many trees in the McKenzie desert I guess? Look forward to more of this mixed content.
