In this weeks episode, I explore some new country and wild camp under a tarp shelter by a beautiful Australian river that I’ve never been to before. I even get lucky with the fishing. I do a little catch and cook with a Redfin and I also hook into a nice rainbow trout. This was a really fun solo overnighter. Hope you enjoy and if you do, please consider subscribing.

Hope you legends enjoyed the vid. If you did, please consider subscribing! ๐ค๐ผ
ive had a day to watch some of your recent videos Scott. Absolutley amazing i have the ability to go to these places, very close and i just need reconnect with nature like how you are. Great film and work mate.
Loved the reaction to eating Redfin for the first time. Related to Golden Perch AKA Yellow Belly, also Giant Perch AKA Barramundi. A very tasty pest species
Good one mate. Great to see you having more success with the fishing, from when you first started out.
What a gorgeous video, only you know how much time and effort you put into this editing but you can see the effort in each scene. I just love this video. Superb work!
I really need a crossover between Scotty’s Gone Walkabouts and Rokkit Kit. You can take him camping and fishing inland, and he can take you on some islands to camp and fish. Crossover made in heaven.
Well I guess the question for me remains what is the difference between the three introduced species Trout, Carp, and Redfin Perch…..one a purposely introduced, managed and artificially maintained population with an industry and culture based around people who want to fish for Trout, the other two rightfully declared introduced pests due to their detrimental impact on the environment and native aquatic fauna……Trout arenโt so benign just have a higher human perceived value than the native aquatic species.
I love the camera footage of the water and liked how you fished in different areas along the way. You let the Rainbow go but kept the Redfin and I thought that was a smart choice just seemed right. I like that tent and the way you travel light. Beautiful weather and perfect environment for an adventure.
You should be very proud of the content youโve putting out mate, itโs absolutely top notch!!!
This was educational and just straight up entertaining to watch! Such a beautiful location to camp and fish๐
Beautiful video Scotty ๐. Apologies if I have missed it in the great list but what is the make and model of the sleeping mat? Have had so many bad ones over the years and this one sounds sweet ๐
Just WOW ! … perfect camping spot and video, thanks !
Looks like a spot made in heaven there Scotty, thanks mate, great vid as always ๐ค๐ป
Absolutely love your vids!!!!!
Keep up the good work!!!

Sick video Scotty! Loved the dialogue about knowledge in the bush. As a freshwater ecologist I find it interesting you hold redfin and trout in a different regard, letting one go and not the other. From an ecological perspective they’re both introduced and as damaging as each other. Definitely both fun to catch though.
Felicitaciones nuevas para ti, excelente video. Un lugar paradisiaco y suculenta cena te haz preparado. Me gustรณ.
Nice one, Scotty. A great location (even with freezing water) and the intro scene of bush with birdsong was magic.
For an invasive species, Redfin are the best fish around.
Great tastings and great fighting fish.
Absolutely loved this video Scotty. Especially the monologue when you woke up in the morning – really poetic and beautiful. Made me think of something Banjo Paterson might say. More of those please!
Such a beautiful camping spot! Enjoy the peace and tranquility!
Everything was so beautiful, great spot to wind away lifeโs ills, thanks for sharing Scotty
In the UK we call the Redfin ‘Perch’ and it’s an indigenous species. Well done Mukka. I enjoyed that immensely ๐๐ KTF๐
Great video Scotty – great spot and stunning scenery! ๐
